Food Path Tours
FoodPath Culinary Tours runs workshops and tours for groups in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Australia. We visit the farms and meet the people who grow our food. Itineraries vary with the seasons and can include visits to olive growers, wineries, berry farms, free range pig farms, beef properties, alpaca farms, mushroom growers and more. Day Tours include lunch in a beautiful rural setting. Organise a group for that special day or weekend and bring your family, friends or other group; or join us for that special birthday celebration.
We also organise hands on workshops for food preserving, jam making, and specialty cooking classes – sausage making, bread making, pastry making or more. We run Local Wine and Cheese Tastings for groups. Lots of options contact us to discuss.

We are family based business who have been living in the Southern Highlands for 17 years.
Throughout this time we have seen the region grow as a wine producing area as well as a great food producing region.
It is time for the Southern Highlands to become known for its premium wines as well as a great place to come for a short or long visit.

Our tours operate under the Transport for NSW Bus Operators Accreditation Scheme which assures you that our bus is tidy and well maintained for your comfort and safety.

Our tours can be arranged to your requirements if needed, or we will guide you, as we have been Wine Touring in the Highlands for over 10 years. We cater for couples, groups from 2 to 30, ½ and full days Tours, 7 days a week.
We offer Wine and Cheese matching; Great food ; Latest releases and taste award winning wines as the Southern Highlands have many.
We have our own bus and offer Cheese, Water and Sweets on board also give you a video of your day spent with The Grape Escape.

LightFoot Education is run by Joanne Dodd, an AgriculturalEcologist and Educator who specialises in sustainable systems of soil management and horticultural production. Her vision is to promote diversity in agricultural production, enable landholders to realise the agricultural and ecological potential of their land, and contribute to regional food security through providing quality educational services in sustainable food and fibre production.
LightFoot Education's mission is to provide services for existing, new and potential landholders in sustainable food production through consultation and building ‘communities of learning’. LightFoot Education supports the integration of agriculture and gardening into Primary School curricula and invigoration of High School Agriculture programs through consulting and extension services. LightFoot Education can also assist landholders in forming relationships with schools, Universities and Industry research bodies for extension and research purposes.LightFoot Education workshops are suitable for existing, new and potential landholders in rural, semi-rural and urban contexts. Workshop topics include; building healthy soils, farm forestry, biodiversity and conservation, choosing the right property for you, rights and responsibilities of land ownership, household vegetable production, managing fruit trees, beekeeping, animal care and principles and practices of ecological agriculture. Workshops may be held in public venues or private properties in groups of up to 15 people. They include comprehensive notes, theory presentations and practical activities.
Joanne has also established and maintains a demonstration site, The Quarter Acre Farm, at her home in Mittagong. This urban food garden and sustainable home has been the venue for several workshops and was open to the public as part of the 2013 Wingecarribee Shire Council’s World Environment Day celebrations. A number of unusual herbs, vegetables and fruits are grown on the property some of which are provided to local restaurants.
